Ugh, AP Govt Exam
So Monday I have my AP Govt Exam, and I’m not looking forward to it at all. My class is totally not prepared for taking the exam, and neither am I. We spent less than a week reviewing for the exam and it has been a race against the clock from the beginning. Cramming all this information in a shortened senior semester is a real drag for the exam. Florida didn’t help by moving the start of school up two weeks because the AP exams are still on the same day… there goes two weeks of review. I believe I can pull off a decent score on the multiple choice section as I’ve done fairly well on the practice multiple choice tests. I’m just annoyed that getting a question wrong is penalizing, I hate these kinds of tests. It drives me insane to leave a question blank rather than guessing on it. We have 45 minutes to complete 60 multiple choice questions, and some of them are completely random questions that I don’t know how anyone would know the answer to them. The essay portion, where 4 essays are to be written in 100 minutes, is gonna be brutal. The example packet we got for essays had an example on Proposition 187. I didn’t have the slightest clue what it was as we never went over that in class. The other example was something I’d have a hard time answering as well, but it wasn’t as bad. I just have a bad feeling I’m going to get four essays that I can’t answer at all. Going over the previous years topics on the essays and through the packet we got in class, I’m definitely not looking forward to the essay portion. I generally hate writing essays to begin with, but these essays have to be like perfect accurate and thorough. Well, that’s enough complaining for now, wish me luck!
